Honors Program (HONR)

HONR 1003  Honors Inquiry and Dialogue  
Prerequisite: Acceptance into the honors program, approval of Honors Program Director.

An introductory course to the honors program, teamwork and multidisciplinary problem solving.

HONR 2000  Honors Civic Engagement  
Offered: Spring.
Prerequisite: HONR 1003.

University Honors Scholars are required to complete a minimum of ten (10) service hours each semester of their sophomore year.

HONR 3000  Honors Peer Support  
Offered: Fall.
Prerequisite: HONR 1003.

Honors students engage in guided peer support activities that promote academic success and build leadership and communication skills.

HONR 3511  Honors Advanced Special Topics  
Prerequisite: Honors standing.

Students explore timely or emerging topics through interdisciplinary study and discussion. Topics may vary by semester. May be repeated for credit.

HONR 4090  Senior Honors Presentation  
Offered: Spring.
Prerequisite: HONR 4093.

During the spring semester of each year, Honors Seniors will present the results of their senior honors project at the Senior Honors Symposium.

HONR 4093  Senior Honors Project  
Prerequisite: Approval of the Director of Honors Program (if used for departmental requirement, all applicable prerequisites also apply).

A team or individual independent research project will be completed. Projects will include some aspect of academic investigation appropriate to the subject area chosen. Presentation of project findings at annual Senior Honors Symposium will be required.
