Upon completion of the Associate of Applied Science degree in Cardiovascular Technology-Cardiac Sonography, a graduate will be able to:
- Distinguish individual and cultural differences and respond appropriately in all aspects of echocardiography.
- Promote the well-being of all patients.
- Recognize personal limits and not practice beyond their skills and capabilities.
- Practice echocardiography according to published and recognized standards
- Accurately perform echocardiograms, while continuously working closely with fellow echocardiographers and cardiologists to ensure best practices are performed.
- Demonstrate a conduct that reflects the professionalism expected by society and members of the echocardiography profession.
- Promote cooperative relationships within the profession and with other members of the healthcare community.
- Educate others about the role of the echocardiographer.
- Identify career development and lifelong learning opportunities.
- Promote the clinical education of echocardiography students.
