The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a Network and Security focus prepares students to design, implement, and support secure computing and networked systems in organizational environments. The program emphasizes the practical application of information technology, with attention to system reliability, security, and operational effectiveness.

The curriculum combines foundational coursework in computing and programming with applied study in networked systems and infrastructure management. Students gain hands-on experience supporting and securing technology environments while developing an understanding of professional practice, usability, and ethical responsibility. A two-semester capstone experience provides an opportunity to integrate technical and analytical skills in a comprehensive information technology project.

Graduates are prepared for careers in network administration, systems support, infrastructure operations, and related information technology roles where reliability and security are critical concerns.

Graduates of all programs within Computing Sciences will be expected to meet the outcomes outlined by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET:

2. Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program's discipline.
