Communication - Theatre and Film Production Option, Bachelor of Arts
Department website: https://www.atu.edu/cj
The Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Theatre and Film Production Option prepares students for a variety of careers including professional theatre, educational theatre, film, or other performance-related careers.

This program embraces the technological side of performance creation, while acknowledging that training in traditional theatre provides valuable depth and substance to the work. Therefore, Arkansas Tech offers a unique hybrid program that tackles traditional theatrical skills along with digital creation. This gives its students a competitive edge in the 21st century market.
Students may pursue a secondary education certificate along with the degree in order to qualify to teach drama in Arkansas high schools.
POINT OF PRIDE
The ATU Theatre program has earned Meritorious Achievement Awards from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and is one of the only programs in the nation with emphasis on film-making for the small (cell phone) screen.
