Kinesiology & Rehabilitation Science Department

The Department of Kinesiology & Rehabilitation Science encompasses two distinct scientific disciplines: Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science.

  • Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement, incorporating anatomical, physiological, biomechanical, and psychological principles to understand and enhance physical performance and overall health. The study of human movement is presented through the Health and Exercise Science tracks.
  • Rehabilitation Science focuses on restoring and improving functional abilities and quality of life for individuals with physical impairments or disabilities through therapeutic practices and interventions.

Both disciplines address the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects of movement from different perspectives.
