Child Welfare and Social Services Minor (Only for Rehabilitation Science Majors)

The Child Welfare and Social Services minor provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the systems, policies, and practices that support the well-being of children and families. This interdisciplinary program explores topics such as child development, family dynamics, social justice, and intervention strategies for at-risk youth. Students will examine the role of social services in addressing issues such as child abuse and neglect, foster care, adoption, and family support programs. Ideal for students interested in careers in social work, psychology, education, or public policy, this minor equips graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to advocate for and assist vulnerable children and families.
